Hi, I am coming up in rallying. My original rallying experience took place in GET, France. In spite of having been into track racing and drifting too, Rallying is my thing. I would be glad and honored to take part in this rallying forum.

To start with, I have two questions:
1. I learned at the time, that if I want to slide the car, I would turn-in, take the lock off and than lift off of the throttle/left-foot brake, so that the wheels are immediatly lined up to accelerate through the corner. Do any of you do this, or do you take the lock of after initiating the slide?

2. Lately, I have heared of a driving technique (not a car model) called "scoobydoo". I believe it has to do with rallying (possibly an Apel-Contra Apel?). Any chance someone knows what this means?

For front wheel drive, I scrub off the speed into the corner holding the braking as I turn in, this tends to make the rear break away and points the nose at the apex, then accelerate out of the bend. a little extra rear bias helps on closed surfaces.   cheers Mac
